ALLAN L. GOLDSTEIN, PhD is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. Dr. Goldstein is a co-discoverer of the Thymosins, the family of polypeptide hormones of the human thymus gland, and is a world leader in the field of biochemical immunology.
Dr. Goldstein was Founder and Chief Scientific Advisor of Alpha 1 Biomedicals, Inc. and instrumental in the development of Zadaxin, a thymosin peptide drug for the treatment of Hepatitis B and other viral diseases. Dr. Goldstein holds a PhD in Physiology and Biochemistry from Rutgers University.
