
HARVEY J. BRANDWEIN, PhD is currently Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Research. Dr. Brandwein previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of IRX Therapeutics from 2000 through 2006.
Prior to IRX Therapeutics, Dr. Brandwein was employed by Pall Corporation (Pall) the world's leading supplier of filtration and separation technology used by the pharmaceutical, blood banking, and diagnostics industries. Since 1997, Dr. Brandwein served as Corporate Vice President; before that he served as Vice President for Healthcare Applications of Pall's Scientific & Laboratory Services Department. In these positions, Dr. Brandwein led research and business development programs in blood products and biopharmaceuticals.
From 1981 through 1988, Dr. Brandwein was a founding scientific member and Vice President of Genetic Diagnostics Corporation, a New York-based biotechnology company developing monoclonal antibodies for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.
Dr. Brandwein received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Connecticut in 1979 and his BA from Harpur College, State University of New York (SUNY) Binghamton.
